Dates set for high school students for SAT and ACT testing

ROUND ROCK, Texas — While the focus may be on early voting until the National Election on November 3, another important date follows closely behind for high school juniors and seniors. Annual SAT testing dates begin with the first one scheduled for Saturday, November 7, followed by another on Saturday, December 5. The ACT examination is set for Saturday, December 12.

Testing sites for the SAT are Cedar Ridge, McNeil, Stony Point and Westwood high schools. The ACT sites are at two locations: McNeil and Round Rock high schools. A student may choose to take either of the tests at any location, regardless of which school they attend.

According to the Round Rock Independent School District website, all COVID-19 safety protocols will be followed at the testing locations. Masks must be worn, and those attending will be asked health screening questions before being allowed to take a test. Students will be seated at least six feet apart during the time of each test.

Students must register in advance for the SAT and ACT. The final test scores are typically considered as part of the college admission application process and also when applying for college scholarships.

Visit the RRISD website for information on the testing registration deadlines.
