“Tidings & Tinsel: Holiday Hits from Broadway” at Georgetown Palace

GEORGETOWN, Texas — A night of holiday hits from Broadway musicals, called “Tidings & Tinsel” is set for Thursday, December 17 at the Georgetown Palace. The show begins at 7:30 p.m. The Palace performers will sing favorites indoors on the Springer Stage, located at 810 S. Austin Ave.

Ticket prices are $24 for adults, $22 for students, military members and seniors ages 55 and older. A Student Rush ticket will be available at the door for $20; guests must present student identification.

Here are the updated indoor safety protocols as posted online:

  • For the safety of our patrons, staff, and volunteers, masks are required to be worn over the nose and mouth at all times, including while seated. This policy will be strictly enforced.
  • No food or drinks will be allowed in the theatre, but you are free to purchase a drink at intermission to enjoy outside the theatre.
  • Upon arrival, all patrons will have their temperature checked and confirm that they are not experiencing any new COVID19 Symptoms.
  • Arrival times will be staggered and rows will be dismissed one at a time
  • There will be a 2 seats separation between all groups and every other row will be empty.
  • Before and after each performance, armrests will be wiped down along with handrails and door handles.
  • Bathrooms will have a thorough cleaning before performances and sanitizing wipes will be available in the restrooms for patrons to use.
  • There will be social distancing for the restroom and in the lobby.
  • The cast and crew will wear face shields to protect themselves and patrons.
  •  There will be no greeting of the cast after the show.

The Georgetown Palace Theatre, Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life in Georgetown and Williamson County by providing a venue for quality and affordable entertainment and educational opportunities in the performing arts.

Patrons may purchase for $100 a commemorative brick to help “Pave the Way” for the walkway which celebrates the opening of the Doug Smith Performance Center. Each brick can have three lines of text, 16 characters per line, in capital letters.
