ROUND ROCK, Texas — Application dates and delivery dates are still pending, but soon the tradition of collecting gifts and contributions for families in need will begin. Round Rock Operation Blue Santa has been helping families at holiday time for 46 years.

Volunteers who wish to help the Round Rock Fire Department (RRFD) and Round Rock Police Department (RRPD) can assist in any of four ways.

  1. Drop off new, unwrapped books, toys or wrapping paper at various locations where the Operation Blue Santa boxes are located. Until the boxes are in place, donors may bring items to the Round Rock Police Department at 2701 N. Mays St. Organizers ask that the toys not be wrapped in advance, no food, no glass, no liquid or powder such as glitter. Gifts are most suggested in the age groups of newborns to one year old, and ages eleven to thirteen.
