Active Kids Summer Camp
This Summer, give your child a week of healthy, body-smart activities. Adventure Cook
Each of the five days the cooks will do two unique recipes. In between the recipes we will run around on the playground (weather permitting) to get our crazies out. Alamo Recreation Center Summer Camps

Austin YBML Sunshine Camp
Sunshine Camp is conducted by the Young Men’s Business League and it is free to those children who are selected. The campers stay for seven days overnight at the camp located at Zilker Park, for ages 7-11, and Lake Travis, for ages 12-17. Badgerdog Creative Writing Summer Camp
Summer workshops are led by Austin’s best writers: award-winning poets, novelists, playwrights, and essayists. Students write poetry and prose, and learn to revise and edit their work for publication. The camp culminates in the publication of a beautiful, library-quality anthology and two public readings, the second followed by a book signing with our student authors. Each student receives a copy of the published anthology, which is also donated to the Austin Public Library system and sold at Book People.

Bee Cave Riding Center Summer Camp
BCRC Summer Camp offers a low student-to-instructor ratio from a qualified staff with a positive approach to teaching. It is a weeklong program, Monday through Friday, with camps available most weeks of the summer from early June through mid-August. Each week of Summer Camp includes high-quality English and Western riding instruction, as well as classes in horse science and horse management. Camp IW2H is a non-profit summer camp program dedicated to academics, activities, and adventure! We dedicate the proceeds to other community outreach projects! Child’s Day Summer Camp
All children in the summer program have once-weekly tumbling classes and swimming lessons three times per week. Dougherty Arts School Art Camps

In 2000 a mother’s need for “something more” for her son with dyslexia sparked an idea to start a summer camp for children with reading difficulties. Summer school and highly advertised centers could not meet her son’s specific needs, and as a parent of a child with dyslexia, she knew what areas to address. Rock Camp USA
Rock Camp USA offers three camps for your child: “Lil’ Rockers” for ages 5-7, “Opening Acts” for ages 8-16, and “Headliners” for skilled musicians ages 11-19. “Headliners” features intensive performance-oriented instruction given by some of the finest professional musicians in the country. The rockers form bands, record a CD, perform live at a real world venue and receive a multi-tracked, professionally edited DVD of the show. The “Opening Acts” experience is very similar to “Headliners,” but the pace is slower due to the steep learning curve. The Department of Radio-Television-Film at The University of Texas at Austin offers summer film camps that take place on the UT campus, in the same building where the “Austin City Limits” television special is filmed. Campers work with RTF faculty and equipment to produce a short film project. The intensive workshop structure gives students the opportunity to focus on various aspects of the filmmaking process including screenwriting, production and editing.

ZACH Theatre Variety Summer Camps
ZACH’s camps engage children in theatre arts and provide an imaginative and active summer of fun. Each week, campers can experience a unique theme exploring the theatre world through acting, song and dance, comedy improv, theater games and more. Campers are grouped by age to create and rehearse a production presented for friends and family at the session’s end on Friday.
