ROUND ROCK, Texas — The City of Round Rock has announced that 21 beams will be set on Monday, December 21, at the Logan Street Bridge project, requiring the closure of A.W. Grimes Boulevard and Greenlawn Boulevard throughout the day.
Work is expected to be completed by 9 p.m.
A.W. Grimes Boulevard:
The far right lane from Colonial Drive to Logan Drive will be closed from early morning through early afternoon.
Greenlawn Boulevard:
The far right lane from Stratford Drive to Gattis School Road will be closed from early afternoon into the evening.
The Logan Street Bridge project is another step in the city’s connectivity program, which is expected to allow for improved response times by emergency vehicles. It will connect Eat Logan Street and Logan Drive, between Greenlawn Boulevard and A.W. Grimes Boulevard, including pedestrian improvements, according to information on the City of Round Rock’s website.
Greater Lake Creek Trail will not be impacted by this project and a a bridge will be constructed over Turtle Creek tributary.
The engineer Aguirre & Fields, LP with offices in Austin, Houston, Fort Worth and Oklahoma City.
The contractor is James Construction Group of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
