WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Texas — With the unsure election results in a number of states two days after Election Day, voters who are wondering if the votes they cast were counted, Texas Ballot Tracker’s website allows one to look up his or her ballot. The ballots are sorted online by county, and by entering name or Voter ID number, a ballot can easily be checked to see it was received. The information on the ballot tracker site comes from the Texas Secretary of State website, who gathers the information from the various counties in the state.
In Williamson County, the site links to Williamson County Elections’ website. Ballots are tracked via driver’s license numbers and birthday.
In Travis County, in entering the voter’s name, Texas Ballot Tracker pops right up and confirms the date and which precinct the ballot was cast. The website does not track in-person ballots cast on Election Day, however.
Those who chose to mail in their ballots may not show up in the system, it may take a few days to show up. However, odds are it is recorded by now, and the site states, “If you mailed your ballot more than 7 days ago, or voted in person more than 3 business days ago, you may want to contact your Local Elections Office.”
Counties are allowed to count provisional ballots up to six days after November 3, Election Day 2020.
